BEPC Monthly Meeting with Mary Sweeney: Reading Subtle Energies: Wilderness & Yuen Energy Healing

  • Denny's Restaurant 1246 North Central Avenue Kent, WA 98032 (map)

Join BEPC and Mary Sweeney on April 15. Mary will present on Reading Subtle Energies: Wilderness Experiences & Yuen Energy Healing.

Mary Margaret Sweeney, PhD has devoted her life to the study of how people learn and develop. Her teaching career spans over 40 years. She has mentored children and adults in wilderness skills since 2003. Since 1988 Mary has taught applied and theoretical psychology and education in various colleges and corporations. The healing power of nature in her own life inspired her to pursue combining these career interests. Mary has a passion for role-modeling connection to nature as a path to greater awareness of self and others. She serves by sharing with others her knowledge and skills. Mary draws on her practice of energy work, dream work, intuition/awareness skills, wild edibles, herbal medicine, primitive skills, sacred hunting, fishing, fire-making, bow-making, and archery to inform her program design. Connect with her in Colorado and the Northwest.

Reading subtle energy is an intuitive experience involving the totality of one’s being. Engaging in simple meditative practices enhances one’s awareness of these energies. Developing an intimate relationship with nature can be a catalyst for developing ever subtler levels of awareness. Yuen Method energy healing is another method that helps surface unperceived information blocking pathways of wellbeing. Practices such as meditative time in the wilderness doing primitive nature skills or performing Yuen Method, a combination of eastern and western techniques, naturally lead us into greater familiarity with subtle energies. This experiential presentation will explore this complimentary relationship and include sample demonstrations with the audience.
